OMG! I had such a fabulous time last night at the Beyonce & Jay-Z On The Run concert. Not only because I was with my girls, but because it was my first time seeing both Beyonce & Jay-Z live and they killed it!
In the matter of almost two hours I was capable of pretty much sweating my weave out, losing my voice and shedding a couple of tears.
The couple opened the show to ’03 Bonnie & Clyde and everyone went nuts. Throughout the show they performed a bunch of their hit songs, including Holy Grail & Clique in which they performed together. Now, I did think since they were in Miami, when it was time to perform Fuckwitmeyouknowigotit Jay was going to bring Rick Ross out, but he decided to just give him a shout out instead.
After last night I completely understand why Beyonce has the right to tell these b!tches to bow down. Her performances are so on point. Between her doing her little stripper Partition moves to dancing it up with the Les Twins, homegirl shut it down! She also performed Lauryn Hill’s ‘Ex-Factor’ and since it was the 5th year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death, her and Jay performed Forever Young for him.
Now, to the best part. While performing some of their closing songs, they had a video playing in the background that literally brought me to tears. It showed their wedding, Jay holding Bey’s boobs from behind when she was pregnant with Blue Ivy and literally videos of Blue from the time she was born to her first crawl, to dancing in Beyonce’s mirror.
After last night I decided that I either want a love like Beyonce & Jay-Z’s or I want to be Blue Ivy LOL! The love that these two have for each other is to die for. While performing On The Run Part 2, Jay Z walked up to Beyonce kissed her and my heart literally melted! This show was put together so well. On The Run was the best concert I’ve been to hands down! It’s worth every single penny!
