Not many people would take it too well when the father that you’ve known your entire life tells you he wants to become a woman. So, before anyone judges how the Kardashian family reacted towards Bruce Jenner when he revealed his big transition, put yourself in their shoes. There are a bunch of reports that say Kris Jenner went ape shit, but what wife wouldn’t react the same way at first?
In the newest issue of People magazine which Bruce Jenner covers, their sources reveal how some of the family members reacted towards Bruce’s big news.
On breaking the news: “Bruce told them everything – where things stood, what his plans were for the future, and what everyone could expect. Everyone basically knew what was up, but it was still a shock to hear it outlined so explicitly.”
On Kim Kardashian‘s reaction: “They all came all around pretty quickly, but each of them had to process it in their own way. Kim went to Kris and asked her how she felt. They had a very long conversation about it. Once Kim was satisfied that Kris was emotionally okay, she was able to give Bruce her unconditional support.”
On Kanye West: “He is totally fine with it. He believes in live and let live, and he took it all in stride. He and Kim are just trying to show Bruce love and acceptance – complete acceptance.”
The mag also reports that Kourtney‘s boyfriend Scott Disick “didn’t react very well” at first, but “is now on board.”
I really hope Bruce Jenner is doing okay through all of this. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to feel this way your entire life. Unlike anyone else who feels this way, he has to go through this in the public eye and be harassed and judged by outsiders on a daily basis.
