Katy Perry is now able to add shoe designer to her resume!
The 32-year-old superstar covers the newest issue of Footwear News where she is showcasing some of her designs that are set to be released in the Spring. According to Footwear News, the collection’s price point ranges from $59 to $299. The shoes will be sold at Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Amazon and Zappos. Nothing better than finding a brand of shoes that you love at an affordable price.
Katy released a statement with WWD a couple months ago about her shoe line. She said, “It’s been a creative goal of mine to be a real contributor in the affordable fashion space. Launching a footwear collection felt like a natural first step for me. After years of investigating and researching partnerships to find the right fit for the debut of my line, I found that Global Brands most resonated with my artistic ideas. They understand my vision, my eye for detail, and have the international reach and resources to bring my canvas of ideas to life.”

On designing the shoe line: “You are what you wear, right? It’s one of those things where I really love the line and I’m excited by it. It’s not like you’ll never see me in a pair of Adidas slides ever again. And you’ll [probably still] see me on the streets wearing Uggs.”
On connecting with her fans: “Here’s the thing: When I’m working or promoting music, or onstage, I don’t get the opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation or meet everybody individually. So the way I present myself can set the tone. It could be a conversation opener, just by my shoes or by the way I wear my nails — it could be [my form of] hello.”
On expanding her brand into fashion: “I want to learn a lot, master it and become a serious contributor in the fashion world. [I don’t want] to be a celebrity who overindulges and takes advantage of their position.”
