New year, new boo!
The Weeknd and girlfriend of over two years, Bella Hadid just broke up after being on and off the last few months. It was reported that they broke up the week of the Victoria Secret show that Bella walked in while The Weeknd performed. Super awkward, right? Well, at least Bella looked damn good.
Anywho, The Weeknd has decided to move on with Bella’s sisters (Gigi Hadid), friends (Taylor Swift) best friend SELENA GOMEZ. So messy! Aren’t they all in Taylor Swift’s friends club or whatever they call it? This is such a violation of the girl code, but for some reason, the girls in Taylor’s clique don’t have a problem with it. In an interview with Vanity fair magazine last year, Taylor said “We even have girls in our group who have dated the same people. It’s almost like the sisterhood has such a higher place on the list of priorities for us. It’s so much more important than some guy that it didn’t work out with.”
Now, I’m sure people are wondering if Selena was the reason that The Weeknd and Bella split for good, or did they start hooking up afterward. A source told E News,
“At first, Selena and Abel wanted to keep their relationship a secret, But they’ve decided they really don’t care if everyone knows about them.”
“Selena was focusing on getting herself back together and Abel was just getting out of a relationship, plus putting out his new album,” another source said about the relationship. “Abel and Bella also were on and off towards the end of their relationship, so getting into something brand new was not what Abel was looking for.”
“Abel though always had a thing for Selena,” the source added. “He thinks she is extremely talented and sexy. They recently started talking before the holidays but she has been on his radar before. They are on the same level with expectations and think the other is really fun. They are taking things slow and getting to know each other.”
