Rumors have been swirling for some time now that Nicki Minaj and her boyfriend of over 14 years have broken up. Although Nicki has never actually confirmed that she is dating Safaree, we all know that that’s her boo and not just her hype man. But according to TMZ, Safaree may have been sick of being her hype man and personal assistant. He wanted more, and no I’m not talking about marriage, or kids.
According to TMZ,
Nicki cut the relationship off — after 14 years — because he became uncontrollably jealous of her success … success he wanted for himself.
We’re told Nicki and Safaree had an arrangement — she’s the breadwinner and he’s the backup singer/hype man/personal assistant. But we’re told Safaree was getting sick of being in the background and had become increasingly hostile … an emotion she reciprocated.
We hear the final straw was when Safaree didn’t show up recently to one of Nicki’s shows, leaving her scrambling for a hype man. She confronted him and he went crazy.
Now that Nicki is single, I can’t wait to see who she will make her new boo. I’m hoping it’s Drake! They’ve totally been a couple in my head for years now.
