The Rihanna navy has been patiently waiting for RiRi’s upcoming album, R8. After FourFiveSeconds and Bitch Better Have My Money was released I thought we were going to get the album right after!
In the new issue of NME which Rihanna covers, she reveals why the album hasn’t been released yet. The pop princess also opens up about working with Kanye West who serves as executive producer of the album. Rihanna also gives her thoughts on Taylor Swift when asked about being in her celeb BFF club.
On her upcoming R8 album: “To me it’s never done until it’s done. Until the final moment. I have so many songs I love – and they’re so different – that it’s hard to actually put them all on the same album.”
On Kanye who’s executive producing the album: “Kanye definitely wanted to be involved in making the album. So he did start helping me make it. Now we just have to wait to get back in the studio together. His schedule and mine are totally opposite right now, but I think this month we’ll be back in the studio.”
On if she would appear on stage with Taylor Swift: “I don’t think I would. I just don’t think it makes sense. I don’t think our audiences are the same. In my mind she’s a role model, I’m completely not,” Rihanna said. “I guess doing my own thing means I’m a horrible human being.”
