Even though Cheryl Cole was introduced to us as a member of the pop group Girls Aloud, I really didn’t know that much about Cheryl until Rihanna talked about having a girl crush on her. In an interview with Esquire magazine Rihanna said, ‘Ooh! Cheryl Cole is…hot. I would just like to watch her work. Preferably cleaning things on the floor. Picking up stuff on the floor. Bending over’. Since then I’ve been keeping my eye on the very gorgeous pop star. I’m actually kind of obsessed with her dimples!
Cheryl Cole shows off all that sexiness in the August 2014 issue of Elle UK which she covers for the third time. In the issue she reveals the message she sent Simon once he fired her, talks having a nervous breakdown and taking a year off.
On having a nervous breakdown: “It only hit me at the beginning of 2013 that I’d completely lost myself. I’d look in a mirror and think, “Who the hell is she?” I didn’t know what I thought or felt about anything, couldn’t make decisions – I didn’t even know what to eat or drink.” she added “Something was seriously wrong: It felt like a nervous breakdown. I had to stop, get out of my life I’d been living and find myself again. The consequences if I didn’t were just too frightening.”
On the text she sent Simon Cowell after being fired as a judge on The X-Factor: “F*** you, f*** the orange and purple outfit. F*** the big hair. F*** the UK X Factor. F*** you all. I hate you.'”
On taking a year off after her final tour with Girls Aloud: “I can talk about this because I’m OK about it now. But I went through hell and it literally drove me mad. I became so desensitized, you could say terrible things to me and I wouldn’t even think about it. I’d read awful stuff about myself and not blink. I shut down because I didn’t know what else to do”. She admitted “Now, I can say that Simon was right to get rid of me. I wasn’t well in the head when that was going on, so it wasn’t going to work. But he wasn’t right not to tell me to my face.”
Cheryl most recently rocked the entertainment world by marrying her boyfriend Jean Bernard of only 3 months this past weekend in a secret Caribbean ceremony. Congrats to the beautiful couple!
