Say it ain’t so! After 8 years of marriage singer Fergie and actor, Josh Duhamel have decided to separate.
It seems as though it may be divorce/separation season in Hollywood. In just the past couple months it’s been Chris Pratt and Anna Farris, Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix, Melanie Brown and Stephen Belafonte, Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana and now Fergie and Josh. It just sucks because all these couples were together for years and have children together. Fergie and Josh have a beautiful four-year-old son.
No word on what led to the separation and there weren’t really any signs, but let’s not forget about what happened back in 2009. A year after the couple got married, Josh was accused of cheating on Fergie with a stripper. The stripper did tons of interviews and gave out very detailed information which Josh denied. Now, if this stripper really was lying Josh and Fergie would have sued her for defamation, so it’s kind of obvious she was telling the truth. Years later, Fergie opened up about dealing with that difficult time.
If Fergie and Josh were able to get through that scandal back in 2009 hopefully, they’ll be able to get through whatever they’re dealing with now.
Fergie and Josh released a statement to People magazine saying,
“With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the couple said in a joint statement. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”
