I recently had the opportunity to travel on the Bimini SuperFast Cruise leaving out of Port Everglades. Of course I was excited because it was actually my first cruise and also my first time in Bimini. I went on the one day cruise which leaves at 9am for Bimini and gets you back to Port Everglades at 9pm, which makes it the perfect daycation!
Prior to boarding the ship, Resorts World held a ceremony where the president of Resorts World Bimini was awarded the key to Broward county by Broward county mayor, Barbara Sharief. Once we all boarded I checked into my fabulous cabin where I had more than enough room for my belongings. Of course I had to check out the rest of the cruise before doing anything else and I discovered one of my favorite places which was the deck where I could either lay out or sit and chit chat with the girls while listening to live music.
For breakfast I had a variety of different restaurants to choose from, and I chose the Ponce De Leon restaurant which was beyond delicious. From the fabulous food to the wonderful services I absolutely decided to dine there for dinner as well. While on the boat you also have a variety of entertainment whether it’s going to the casino, playing interactive games, listening to live music and so much more!
Once we arrived in Bimini and got off of the boat it actually felt like I was in paradise, it’s literally 7 miles of paradise. The water alone is unreal. I’ve never seen water that perfect shade of blue in my entire life. I felt like I was looking at a picture the whole time I was there.
At Bimini you can choose from a bunch of water activities like snorkeling, kayaking, water bikes, stand up paddle boarding, sailing, a glass bottom kayak tour and much more. For transportation, I thought it was really cool that everyone got around on mostly golf carts. So, we got a golf cart so that we can explore all 7 miles of the island. I got to experience a little bit of how it is to live there. All the food at the restaurants were fresh which included fish, lobster, conch and more. While exploring the island I couldn’t help but to notice how happy and peaceful all the locals seemed.
Now, when it comes to the resort and casino you’re definitely going to fall in love with this place. The casino has sports booking, slots and a bunch of table games. The resort is almost done being built and it’s going to be ridiculously fabulous! From private island homes to luxury beachfront villas, Resort World Bimini will have it all!
I highly recommend taking either the Bimini Day Cruise or staying at the resort. The day cruise is so perfect for anyone who just wants a break during the week. You don’t have to worry about missing the next day of work you’ll literally be home by 9pm and will be refreshed and ready to go. If you’re looking to do a vacation longer than a day, stay at the resort! Another great thing about Resort world is that you cannot beat their prices! The same amount of money it is to get a mani & pedi, you can do the superfast day cruise.
