Zedd Covers The Newest Issue Of BILLBOARD Magazine

The mastermind behind some of today’s iconic dance beats takes the cover of Billboard magazine! Zedd is originally best known for his 2012 Grammy single “clarity” where he shocked the ears of dance music lovers. Since then, he has worked with artists such as Liam Payne, Alessia Cara, Kesha and many more creating anthems like Stay ft Alessia Cara and Get Low ft Kesha.

DJ extraordinaire Zedd continues the delicately hand crafted theme of collaboration in his music and has even encouraged other artists to do the same while speaking out against the political issues that are happening in society. It always amazes me when artists use their platform to vocalize issues that are going on and I can truly say that Zedd is utilizing music to bring us together. Zedd’s creativity for music and inclusion is best shown in this snippet from Billboard Magazine:

On President Donald Trump: “No matter how big the scandal is, no matter how insane a [Trump] tweet is, it just keeps going. You feel powerless, and that’s terrible to me. Take that to a bigger scale and you end up in North Korea, where people are slaves of their own country.”

On urging other artists to speak out against Trump: “They don’t want to lose fans. I understand where they are coming from, but I disagree with that being a good reason not to speak up.”

On reaching out to Kesha to make music during public struggles: “It was just a therapy thing, making music with someone to help them feel better.”

Jared Leto, who collaborated with Zedd on a to-be-released 30 Seconds to Mars song (and has also taken him rock climbing), puts it: “He is a relentless worker and really puts in the time. He is not someone who just shows up and takes selfies all day.”
