Another year down in the books for the world renowned music festival Lollapalooza! Each morning, thousands of festival goers fled into Chicago’s Grant Park searching for the best view to get a glimpse of some of today’s top performers. These top performers included Lorde, Wiz Khalifa, Migos, Lil Uzi Vert, Chance The Rapper, The XX, 21 Savage, Rae Sremmurd, Tove Lo, Lil Yachty, and Charli XCX.
Despite the cancellation of Thursday night’s set due to poor weather, festival goers continued to dance their way through the rain and make the most out of a poor situation. It seems like rain dancing and splashing has become a tradition at Lolla for the past couple of years now.
In addition to this coincidental tradition, Lollapalooza always has a few unexpected tricks up their sleeves. Headliners Chance The Rapper and Charli XCX brought on guest performers Vic Mensa and Halsey that helped liven up the crowd and cultivate an unforgettable experience. Who didn’t love seeing two of Chicago’s finest breed rappers Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa perform together in their hometown? They truly paid a beautiful tribute to the city they love and proudly call home.
All in all, Lollapalooza is one of its own: Amazing performances in a radiating city with delicately hand crafted food and drinks. Now that sounds like an extraordinary music festival to me! I can’t wait to see next year’s festival!
